Wow indeed! As another year of WOW!house wraps up, I wanted to take a look at the amazing teams and individuals we were able to collaborate with on this year's build.
This year, we had the pleasure of bringing the Nucleus Immersive Room by Russell Sage Studio to life. An ambitious project that explored the intersection of interior design, craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology.
Russell Sage's concept, The Momentarium, was designed as an escape from the outside world. A space that engages the senses, combining rich textures, sculptural forms, atmospheric lighting and immersive sound to create an experience quite unlike a conventional interior.
Working alongside Russell Sage Studio meant translating this creative vision into a physical space, with plenty of interesting technical and construction challenges along the way.
At the heart of the experience was the technology developed and integrated by Durgesh and the team at Nucleus AV. Their work brought together immersive audio, visual displays and sophisticated automation, carefully concealed within the architecture of the room. The result was technology that could transform the atmosphere without ever dominating the design.
Phil and the team at Crestron were another integral part of the process, bringing lighting, automated curtains and audiovisual systems under one intuitive control system.
The room also featured contributions from an extraordinary collection of brands, including L-Acoustics, Sony, Trinnov, George Smith, Fromental, John Cullen Lighting and Jo Malone London, each adding another layer to the experience.
For us at Russell Hewes, projects like this are particularly exciting. They offer the opportunity to explore unusual construction methods, solve complex design challenges and work alongside some of the industry's most imaginative minds.
